She walked in, looking like a bag of kibble that had been left out in the rain. Melted, you know? I looked lovingly at the bit of tuna I had saved from lunch, shut the drawer. Pulling out my catnip mouse, I nonchalantly tossed it from hand to hand and looked at the sad little kitten, waiting for her to say something besides "Mew".

My god, I don't know which of those comments makes me happier. They're both fabulous.
