Ok, so I’ve got my tattoo idea more or less set — which I’ll talk about after it gets done.
But the oink factor is in full effect now.
I suddenly have an idea for something to go on my right arm in one of those spaces that needs a specific shape; it was going to be a tiki but that’s not working because the features wind up lining up wrong with everything. So I’m thinking something semi-tahitian like this (Though it’ll be completely re-designed by my friend Tricia):
And the knuckle tattoos are still cooking in my head. I’m pretty much down to these, in order of preference, though I can’t quite decide.
L A S T — C A L L
H O L D — F A S T
T H I R — T E E N
L O V E — H A T E
Plus I think I might have a line on a design for my backpiece. Knock wood and fingers crossed.
But for this one, I’m meeting with Klem of True Art Tattoo this saturday to rough out a design, and then going back thursday to get the deed done. Klem’s an old friend, and for those Survivor fans, he’s the guy who did most of Lex’s tattoos.
While I’m there, I’m going to make plans to do the Hulalupe.
It’s just been too long since I got tattooed, is all.
While we’re on — hell, what’s the plural of redux, reduxes? While we’re on that, let’s add a footnote on the skull ring thing.
Seems that http://www.serioussilver.com/, who implied they were outta business, are in fact not out of business, and are taking orders.
The ring I got, from Tony Creed, far out-cools the one I was interested in, the Clapton ring (Which looks like Ghost Rider to me). But the Clapton ring still rules, and I think I’m gonna get it. I just have to decide which size for these big fingers.
The way I see it, you just cannot have too many skull rings. Or, to put that more correctly, I cannot have too many skull rings.
I admit it. I secretly wanna be Lemmy.
If you like to gamble, I tell you I’m your man
You win some, lose some, all the same to me

I don’t share your greed, the only card I need is
The Ace Of Spades
Did I mention that tattoo I’m getting next week has the ace of spades on it?
THIR-TEEN… Naturally, at first reading, I was thinking this was some sexual thing. As in, He likes thirs… in their teens.
A thir being, of course, one of those nubile, extremly salacious, and highly flexible slave girls from the small Isle of Thirean so popular to the wealthy warriors of Gor.
But, uh, it’s the number thing, right?
Ummmm… right?
No of course you have it figured out. It’s all about Gor, baby!
BINDING FIBRE, BABY!
And then the brand, and the silks of a pleasure slave!
Well, when you get it done, how about submitting a new artist review for the Tattoo FAQ? I’m still taking care of it. I even put the artist reviews into a database so it’s searchable ‘n’ shit. I put in a review of my favorite artist, and she said that she’s gotten several new clients from it.
The URL for submitting a review is still the same:http://www.rabbithole.org/artist-form.html
heh
When I looked at the shrunk down version of the art you posted, I thought you were getting the 6 pointed sheriff’s badge.
=]
Yeah, there’s a new sheriff in town, baby!
what do you think about star tats on knuckles?
Plus I hear this part of the body hurts the most?
The stars thing is a little over-played currently, but it’s a classic. I try to avoid things that are in huge current vogue, but you basically can’t go wrong with the true classics. I have thought about getting stars below the joints on my fingers (below where the letters are), or possibly some other symbols (card suits being a leading contender).
As to the pain – nah. It’s an annoying sensation, but hurts very little.
