That Polaroid-esque edge on that print is an interesting referent to a different day. Instant it was, but digital it was not.
I think the compression has been hard on E’s feather details.
I love that grayscale, though. Nothing else like it.
There’s more feather detail visible in the larger version (on flickr), but yes, the noir treatment intentionally makes it very grainy.
I love silver FX 2. It’s just the best B&W tool I’ve seen.
