Oh, I love this story. Having a vanity plate that reads “TIPSY” may not be such a great idea after all. Josiah Johnson, 23, said his license plate might have tipped off the Clay County sheriff’s deputy who pulled him over Friday after he left Coach’s Sports Pub in Moorhead.

Remonds me of when I was in my early twenties, living in upstate NY. I had this gigantic red ’74 Gran Torino, and since the “vogue” at the time was to have one of those stupid “Baby On Board” swingy yield signs in your rear window, I had the dumb guy version, which was a stop sign that said “I STOP for beer.” I must have gotten pulled over by the cops a dozen times that year. Luckily, I wasn’t one to drink and drive so it was never a problem (although I did ALMOST get a gun pulled on me a few times — apprently I’m threatening in some way that only cops can detect…).
But man, how stupid was I?
Heh. My plate says “IMA NERD” and I’ve never been pulled over. What does that say?
